Scholarships for High School Students Studying Ag
The Whiteside County Farm Bureau Foundation offers up to two $1,000 scholarships to Whiteside County high seniors pursuing an agriculture-related degree. Qualifications for the scholarship are as follows:
- The student must be a graduating senior in the spring of 2014.
- The parent(s) or guardian(s) must be members of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau as of October 1, 2013.
- The student must enroll in a field of study pertaining to agriculture or an agriculture-related field. Remember, in our modern world, several courses of study relate to agriculture in some aspect.
- Applications must be returned or postmarked by March 28, 2014.
Applications will be available in mid-January from high school guidance counselors or through the Farm Bureau office. An application can be obtained by calling (815) 772-2165 or by emailing Matt Lillpop, Executive Director of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau, at matt.wcfb@frontiernet.net.
